Police have reopened the scene on Kersal Dale following further enquiries after human remains were discovered which sparked a murder investigation.
A huge search began after a walker found remains in a wooded area at around 5.50pm on Thursday, April 4. Just off a footpath, they reported that they had found the lower body parts of a man wrapped in multiple sheets of cellophane.
Specialist officers remained at the scene in the Kersal Wetlands until April 16, following a number of appeals to the public.
As a result of further enquiries in the area, the scene was reopened on Saturday (April 20) on Great Clowes Street and Kersal Wetlands, police have said.
