Sony Pictures has finally been putting together its own cinematic universe based on the popular Marvel Comics. It’s not quite the MCU yet, but hey it’s the early days. Now that we’ve seen actor Jared Leto as Michael Morbius we can’t help but wonder how this character would stack up against beloved antihero Venom. These characters are both enemies of Spider-Man and they have a number of surprising similarities that would come into play if they ever fight against one another. The alien symbiote has a relationship with Eddie Brock that can be both a source of strength or a weakness. The Living Vampire may trail behind in physical strength but he has some abilities that make it seem likely he would be the victor in a battle between the two of them. Who would win will depend on a lot of factors and which character is more powerful is only a small portion of the equation. Both characters gave Peter Parker a hard time but Morbius’ abilities seem tailor made to bring Venom down.
