Hello and welcome to Rusty Duck Garage. I recently went to a Auction and purchased a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 4x4 equipped with the LMM Duramax diesel engine and Allison transmission. This truck was sold as is. I jump started the truck and put it in gear. It would not move forward or reverse. When i put the transmission in park I could hear a grinding noise. This noise told me the output shaft in the transmission was spinning but the power was not getting to the wheels. The driveshaft was not turning so I knew the issue had to be in the transfer case. In this video I dismantle the transfer case and show you the failed parts.
