Rimac Nevera is the fastest electric car in the world. Rimac Nevera set 23 world records today at Automotive Testing Papenburg facility on the 4-kilometre (2.49-mile) straight track. Representatives from Dewesoft and RaceLogic were on location to independently verify the times related to speed, acceleration and deceleration.

Fitted with road-legal Michelin tyres, the Nevera managed to hit 60 mph in only 1.74 seconds. Keep in mind, this is with street tyres, unprepared surface on normal asphalt.

This is the most challenging world record to break, fastest production vehicle to go from 0 to 400 km/h (249 mph) and then back to 0. It needed 29.94 seconds to get the job done whereas the Koenigsegg Regera took 31.49 seconds.

In addition to the 22 records mentioned above, the Rimac Nevera also set a new record for the shortest distance needed to stop from 62 mph (100 km/h). It came to a halt in 29.12 metres (95.53 feet)

The Rimc Nevera boasts an impressive top speed of 412 km/h (258 mph), which is roughly equivalent to one-third the speed of sound. This fully electric vehicle is equipped with a powerful 120 kWh battery that generates an astonishing 1914 horsepower. Additionally, the Nevara features an advanced Brake by Wire system that combines regenerative braking from the electric motors with Carbon ceramic 6-piston Brembo friction brakes positioned at the front.

Rimac tested the records with 2 different types of tyres. Standard all terrain Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyre and road legal Renault Captur track oriented tyre. Up to 350 kmh Nevara used standard aerodynamic configurations and above 350 Nevara used a special configuration to maintain the performance and stability of the car.
