In this video I restore an old English knife to working condition. It has the markings, 'Liams Field' and 'London Made' with a 'W' between London Made. It is a forged carbon steel knife with a tapered tang and distal taper.
I used Merbau for the wood handle and brass pins which were peened. The coated with a 50/50 mix of boiled linseed oil and turps. As the layers build up it will be great protection for the handle.
