Right..time to address the elephant in the room. Won't go into too much, since it's already mentioned on the Flickr photos of the two main trucks here. TL:DR, we moved down here in a bid to be closer to my immediate family, and it was an absolute disaster.

Because of the different environment that I was suddenly transported to, I wasn't keen to film right away. Eventually, though, I was able to befriend the drivers. Still, since my bike was left behind at my previous home, I was limited to filming my own waste being collected.

Fast forward to May, and I got a new bike. There was one thing I knew I needed to do right away, film all the trucks, as much as I can. Despite a very small time period, I think I did well.

Trucks featured:
Consolidated Disposal Service 8367
Chassis: Autocar Xpeditor ACX (LNG)
Body: McNeilus Pacific FEL

Consolidated Disposal Service 2997
Chassis: Autocar Xpeditor ACX (CNG)
Body: Heil Rapid Rail ASL
Note: Ex-Hawaiian Gardens Unit

Consolidated Disposal Service 2962
Chassis: Autocar Xpeditor ACX (LNG)
Body: Heil Rapid Rail ASL
Note: Ex-Firestone District Unit

Consolidated Disposal Service 2957
Chassis: Autocar Xpeditor ACX (LNG)
Body: Heil Rapid Rail ASL

First up is 8367, which does the residential complexes that produce so much trash that carted collection is not a good idea. These complexes are a few and far between so don't expect a full video on it anytime soon.

Next up is 2997, a newer CNG unit. this pulls double duty, with recycling in the morning and green waste in the afternoon. since the video on this will be for recycling, I've dumped all the footage of this on green waste here.

Up next is 2962, the frontline garbage truck. This is essentially a copy-paste of every other truck of this exact configuration, which amounts to around 200. But because this does heavy trash and it's my trash truck, of course, it gets a video to itself.

Finally is 2957, a near sister to the aforementioned 2962. Unlike the other three, this is not a regular but does get around. I wasn't going to film but got in the mood of doing so thanks to the very friendly driver.

Overall, while not much, I think this is a good representative of the area as a whole. Videos of the ASLs will be posted soon, and, as stated in the flickr, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Thanks to all drivers seen here for letting me film!
