The PhD in Nursing Program prepares nurse researchers for careers in the conduct of clinical and translational research within multidisciplinary settings, and nursing faculty for careers in teaching and research. In addition, the program develops nurse leaders with expert knowledge of complex health problems, who will lead and improve nursing practice in the commonwealth and beyond. The PhD program is designed to provide intensive mentoring and research socialization of students throughout their course of study.
