Story Time! In this video I explain why I chose to self teach development and design. I'm a college grad software engineer. My degree got me in the door but it was my own doing that kept me there. There was a time when all that mattered was your ability to do the job.

Today, knowledge is no longer gated behind institutions like it was 20 years ago. There are so many resources today to learn skills like UI/US design, web development or any creative field for that matter.
What really matters is your experiences. Go build experiences and no one can deny your skills! I'm walking this path, teaching myself skills and creating experience.

I should say, college did allow me to get a 'traditional path' job and provide for myself and my family. If that's what you're looking for, it's an option that will work as society has designed it to.
