After seeing Wendy's Apple Air Tag in action, I went in search of an Android version that would do the same. It wasn't easy and I was sceptical about this one I saw advertised. The only way to know was to carry out a fair but real world test. Our ‘thief’, Mike Ainsworth, set out with Wendy's Air Tag and this one from Barely Costs to see if we could track and find him. I didn't expect much from the Android version as iPhone have the largest market share in the UK so would have more opportunity to communicate with the passing tag. What you will see here are the actual screenshots from the tracking apps so you can decide. In part two, I shall endeavour to find the tag in a fixed location to see how close I can get to finding my 'stolen bike.'
