We set out on a training ride for our upcoming Edinburgh to Grantham trip. Wendy was happy with 50 miles but I kept the fact it would involve 3,000 feet of climbing quiet. The day started badly as both my Wahoo, and Wendy's Garmin both played up. We managed to keep to the plan, thanks mainly to Wendy's skill at map reading, but we didn't expect the challenge that was waiting for us at the end!
