The Honda ZR-V, a new medium-sized SUV, has been described as a niche vehicle that falls between the larger CR-V and smaller HR-V models. The ZR-V is based on the Mk11 Civic and features a 2.0-litre petrol engine combined with a two-motor hybrid system, providing a total combined power of 181bhp and 232lb ft. The hybrid system offers three main modes of operation: EV, Hybrid, and Engine Drive. The interior of the ZR-V is spacious and well-equipped, with comfortable seats and user-friendly controls. However, the boot space is smaller than its competitors, with a capacity of 380 litres. On the road, the ZR-V offers a firm ride and good steering, but there is noticeable cabin noise from the engine and tyres. The hybrid drivetrain performs well and feels dynamic, although fuel consumption is lower than the Civic. The ZR-V is priced starting from £39,495, which is higher than many rival models. Overall, the ZR-V is seen as a decent car but faces tough competition from other SUVs in the market.
