Here Vika, tutor for BAWAL, is teaching the snatch balance part of the Olympic Snatch. She is doing this as a part of the Reverse Chain method of teaching someone the Snatch, where you start with the final part of the movement and learn from the end part and go through each part until you get to the first movement. By doing this, the theory goes, when you get to the first part of the movement you already know the rest and therefore can do the whole movement without being concerned about what's to come. Vika pointed out that this was just one method for teaching the Snatch or Clean and Jerk and that other methods will be more effective than others, depending on the individual learning style of the student involved.
