But what makes Guillermo del Toro films so fantastical? What tricks are there in his film universe that makes it so unique, yet easy to digest? There are many answers, but one thing I'd like to point out is 'repetition'.

Let's take a look at how he uses repetition to craft his one of a kind world, focusing on his 2006 work, Pan's Labyrinth.
