Nothing stays the same - things are always changing, including people as we grow older. We can't expect permanence.
- Some people resist change out of fear, but change is inevitable. It's important to build flexibility and capacity to deal with change.
- Examples of change: seasons, neighbors, jobs, technology. We can look to the past to see how much has changed in recent decades with regards to technology and communication.
- It's wise to embrace and prepare for change rather than resist it. Having a flexible mindset allows you to adapt more easily when change happens, as it inevitably will.
- No matter what part of life we're talking about - careers, technology, communication, etc. - we can expect that it will look very different in 5, 10 or 15 years compared to today. Things do not stay the same.
