Wolf Point High School students filmed this music video in just three days as a part of an intensive filmmaking workshop conducted by staff from MAPS Media Institute and the Fort Peck Community College’s CHANTÉ Project.

The song in the video is called “Why”, and is performed by internationally renowned Indigenous hip hop artist Supaman, who generously allowed the students of Wolf Point to use it for their video. The song – and the video – presents hard questions that face rural and Reservation communities, but also offers a powerful story of solidarity and strength. That message of hope and healing is brought to life in this poignant music video.

In just a few short days, Wolf Point students learned how to generate story ideas, compile a shot list and storyboard, learn how to operate cameras and sound equipment, and how to conduct interviews and shoot live footage. The result is this energetic and inspiring music video.
