In February, Debra Eckerling from the Jewish Journal became a volunteer - aka co-actor - with The Miracle Project as part of her 2019 Jewish Bucket List. Founded by acting coach Elaine Hall in 2004, The Miracle Project helps children and adults with autism and other disabilities develop communication and other skills through the expressive and performing arts. February is Jewish Disability Awareness & Inclusion Month, so Debra wanted to do something with community service. This was a unique and enriching experience that felt more like fun than volunteering, which was totally the point!
