Today's video I go over an ETF review of my 3.5 year investing strategy that I have been on.

I've been investing in the stock market for 15 years. However, I've been buying Vanguard High Dividend Yield ETF (VYM) for 3.5 years, every week, since July 2020!

A question came up - would I have changed anything, if I were to start it again/over on that strategy, with SCHD in the picture, you know - Charles Schwab's Dividend ETF?

Therefore, I did a back-test to July of 2020.

I put the TWO ETFs in the gauntlet and pit them against each other in 8 rounds, to see who can win the most rounds. Two segments focused on:
1.) Stock Price Performance
2.) Dividend Growth Performance

We are testing VYM and SCHD for these time periods:
1.) 7/1/2020 - 12/31/2020
2.) 12/31/2020 - 12/31/2021
3.) 12/31/2021 - 12/31/2022
4.) 12/31/2022 - 12/31/2023

Then, we will see which ETF took the most points and wins from the 8 rounds.

Bottom line, saving and investing in ETFs can be key and important on your journey to financial freedom, building a growing passive income stream - that also allows you to sleep decently well at night!

I hope beginner investors tune in to this one, to see if it helps those just starting to invest or even a novice investor, who is looking to simplify their investing with ETFs.
