Today's video I go over a confession I made.

I own OVER 70 different dividend stock and ETF positions in my dividend stock portfolio.

YIKES. I know.

I wanted to go over this BIG investing mistake I made, and trust me - it wasn't on purposed or intentional.

In fact, the stock purchases were all with the right intentions, but then you add in spin-offs from stocks I own and that just added fuel to the fire.

Here is how I got to 74 different stocks and ETFs:
- I bought in small amounts. When the stock I was researching met my criteria, I would invest, even if it was only $100, $200 or $500.
- After those small purchases, the stock would rise and I wouldn't invest again. I would continue to repeat the process, small purchases and having many positions.
- Stocks I owned would spin-off a part of their business into a newly traded stock, therefore - I would now own two stocks, the original company PLUS the new stock that was spun-off. Examples are Warner Media Discovery

Some of the stocks I owned ended up not doing anything, cutting their dividend, or performing mediocre. Some actually performed well, but never paid a dividend. Some stocks were just plain small positions, but still performed well.

It's time to CLEAN HOUSE.

In the video I show the steps I have taken to identify the stocks I would look to sell, how I found them and what to look out for when evaluating stocks to dissolve of.

Then, I uncover a VERY important step. Arguably, it could be THE MOST important step.

Knowing your NEXT MOVE.

What do you think of my situation? Have you been here before on your personal finance journey to financial freedom? What would you do? Did my video help you avoid this mistake years down the line?
