The Karate Kid is a classic movie from 1984 starring Ralph Macchio as Daniel LaRusso, Pat Morita as Mr. Miyagi, Elisabeth Shue as Ali Mills, William Zabka as Johnny Lawrence and Martin Kove as Sensei John Kreese. Directed by John G. Avildsen and written by Robert Mark Kamen. In 1986, there was The Karate Kid II, which had Yuji Okumoto as Chozen, Tamlyn Tomita as Kumiko, and Danny Kamekona as Sato. In 1989, there was The Karate Kid Part III, which had Thomas Ian Griffith as Terry Silver, Sean Kanan as Mike Barnes, and Robyn Lively as Jessica Andrews. In 1994, there was The Next Karate Kid, which starred Hilary Swank as Julie Pierce and Michael Ironside as Colonel Dugan. In 2018, a TV series called Cobra Kai was started - which brought back many of the original cast members reprising their roles, as well as newcomers Xolo Maridueña as Miguel Diaz , Tanner Buchanan as Robby Keene, Mary Mouser as Samantha LaRusso, Jacob Bertrand as Eli 'Hawk' Moskowitz, and Peyton List as Tory Nichols.

In this video, I talk about some Karate Kid trivia - including something the film has in common with a 1982 film called "They Call Me Bruce?" (starring Johnny Yune and directed by Elliott Hong). I also go over trivia about some of the Karate Kid's filming locations such as Charles Evans Hughes Junior High School (which is also where parts of A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge were filmed), as well as Leo Carrillo State Park and Beach (also a filming location for Grease, the Usual Suspects, the Craft, Supergirl, Pirates of the Caribbean, Sex and the City, Inception, She's All That, 50 First Dates, and many more), actor Larry Drake (best known for L.A. Law, but also a major part of Sam Raimi's Darkman, and an episode of Tales from the Crypt), Frances Bay (who was also in an episode of Amazing Stories, as well as Happy Gilmore with Adam Sandler), actor Peter Jason (who was also in John Carpenter's They Live) as well as some trivia about Gremlins, Back to the Future, and many more. Please watch and please leave your comments.
