The top replacement took about 7-8 hours to do with the filming. Not too bad a job, the rain rail is the hardest part.

Lessons Learned

Remove both seats, it makes the job a lot easier.

Remove the top frame from the car. It is a lot easier to put the new top on outside the car.

Assemble the new top from front to back, put all the pieces on the top before you put it back on the car. This includes all the rubber molding pieces. It is much easier to install those when it is off the car.

Get help with the rain rail. Have that person hold the glass window up while you wrestle with the metal rails and bolts.

I found it easier to start with the center metal rail and get the bolt farthest to the right or left and work across the rail. Once you have all the bolts loose on the rail tighten them in an alternating right and left starting with the center bolt. You can then attach the 3 bold metal rails to the left and right side. Make sure you put the strap on the 3rd bolt and that the carpeting is not under the rain rail.
