► Actress Sarah Gordy has told 5 News how she's helping to change perceptions of what it means to live with a disability.

With roles in hit shows like 'Call the Midwife', 'Holby City' and 'Upstairs Downstairs', she has become a familiar face on our TV screens. She also made history last year, becoming the first woman with Down's Syndrome to be awarded an MBE, for services to the arts, and people with disabilities.

On this year’s World Down's Syndrome Day, the message is that “every single person with Down's should have the same opportunities as everyone else”.

Sarah and her mother Jane Gordy spoke to Claudia-Liza Armah.
