Marie Laveau is a very mysterious New Orleans figure whose life and death are filled with intrigue and stereotypes. Was she indeed a voodoo priestess? Was she a hairdresser, herbalist, a Catholic? Did she employ black magic?

And today, we are going to talk about some truths and facts and try to uncover who she really was. We'll visit where she lived and walk along the walls of St. Louis Cemetery #1 and discuss her life and death. We'll try and set the record straight and talk about how some of the ideas about who she was have come about.
