In this video I am going to show you how easy it is to view the video and audio feed from your google nest doorbell on your amazon echo show.

I will also show you how you can set it up to alert you when someone rings the doorbell.

The setup instructions will also work if you have a google nest camera.

The first thing you need to do is launch the Alexa app on you iPhone or android device.

Press more and select skills and games

Press the magnifying glass and search for nest

Select the google nest skill and press enable to use.

You will now need to link your google account, make sure this is the same account you used when setting up your nest device.

When you link the account make sure you give permission for amazon to show your cameras live video using Alexa.

Once complete you will get a message to say that the accounts have been successfully linked.

You should now press discover devices to the echo can find your doorbell.

After a while your doorbell will be found and you will be asked to set it up.

I will skip the first step where it asks you if you want to add it to a group.

If you now find cameras and select the nest camera you should see a love feed.

Press the gear icon on the top right hand corner of the screen to select how you want to be alerted

First of all select announcement devices. For now I only want my echo show to announce when someone is at the door, so I will only select the single device.

You can then select motion announcements. I find this is annoying so I turn it off. But you want to make sure doorbell announcements it turned on. This will allow the echo to alert you when someone is at the door.

You can now close the app.

Now when some one presses the doorbell the echo will alert you.

To talk to the person just press the microphone button. Or say the wale command followed by talk to the front door

You can ask the echo to show you the front door at any time by asking, Alexa show me the front door,

Or you can slide down from the top of the screen, press smart home, and select the doorbell under cameras.

I hope you have found this video helpful. If you have don’t forget to subscribe as I have lots of videos like this.
