A more down-to-earth and informal explanation of the new Spec Layer files in iRacing and how to create them. I try my best here to simplify the language, but again, don't hesitate to ask questions and I'll do my best to help.

The paint we make here is what could be considered MAX Matte effect with MAX Chrome/Metallic Effect. Remember, play with your brightness percentages, and we may be able to put up a chart with the various paint material types and the number combinations for them....in theory.
