**UNFORTUNATELY SINCE IRACING UPDATED HOW CLEAR COATS WORK, THIS VIDEO IS NOW OBSOLETE, HOWEVER... as Mr Boejangles91 rightly points out in the comments, the new system is as such;
255 in the blue channel is dull clear coat.
0-12 is no clear coat and 13 is max.**

Welcome to another video on iRacing Paints - this time, explaining Spec Maps and how they work.

Spec Maps can make your livery stand out in different ways than just colour on iRacing, by adding texture to your creations and helping highlight certain sections that just need a good kick to them.

In this video I go over the Properties of the RGB Channels, the easiest way to structure and apply your Spec Maps using Photoshop and how easily you can get it wrong.
