The Saris Bones 2 is very easy to setup on your car, it will come pre assembled, so the only thing you need to is adjust the arms and position it on the car, then take the straps which are labeled upper, sides or lower. Then take your bike and place it on the rack and strap the bike down. Sometimes you will need some accessories to prevent the bike tires moving and hitting your car or if you can't get your trunk to close.
