Ham Meatballs with Brown Sugar Glaze ------Episode 85

WRITTEN RECIPE FOR HAM MEATBALLS

*1 pound Ground Smoked Ham (ask your meat department if they would grind your ham like hamburger, some stores up North already have ground Ham in their meat counter area.)

* 1-1/2 pounds Ground Pork

* 2 cups Soft Bread Crumbs

* 1/2 Cup Crushed Graham Crackers

* 2 Whole Eggs

* 1 Cup Milk

Grease a 9x13 pan. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Farenheit.

Mix all the ingredients above together. Form into equal size meatballs (about 1/4 to 1/3 cup in size)


*Options: Add 1/4 cup finely minced onion
OR 1/2 cup crushed pineapple to the meat mixture.

In a saucepan mix together the following ingredients:

* 1-1/2 cups light brown sugar

* 1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar

* 1/2 Cup Water **** ‼️OPTION‼️ I add 3/4 cup Crushed Pineapple with juice instead of water‼️

1 Teaspoon Dry Mustard

Whisk together and bring to a boil.
Spoon over the top of the meatballs.

Bake in 350 degree oven for one hour. Set your timer for 10 minutes and baste the sauce over the meatballs every ten minutes for an hour.

Remove from oven and serve with: Steamed/Cooked White Rice OR Baked Sweet Potatoes AND SEE MY RECIPE FOR SCALLOPED CORN or you can serve these meatballs with green beans or Peas.
