In addition to protecting workers' health and complying with state regulations, proactively establishing safety practices to prevent heat illness is in the economic best interest of agricultural operations. In this video, developed as part of the California Heat Illness Prevention Study (CHIPS), a farm owner, farmworker, and an agricultural economist discuss the importance of protecting workers from the heat.
