The Lightning joins the Tesla Cybertruck, Rivian R1T and Bollinger Motors B2 in the electric truck world - only Ford's EV looks like amore viable option.

It was a mightily bold move to announce an all-electric version of the F-150, given that it's Amercia's best-selling vehicle. The Lightning name harks back to the old performance models from the mid-2000s, and hasn't been used in nearly 20 years. It produces 555bhp, over 1,050Nm of torque and deliver a range of up to 300 miles. That doesn't quite match the ultra-controversial Cybertruck, but with the Tesla seemingly far away from production the F-150 Lightning may become the first mass-produced electric truck to hit the market.
