As someone who has dealt with debilitating health anxiety and general anxiety for five years, I've learned the habits and behaviors that can keep you trapped in anxiety.
Anxiety can consume your life, and your brain is always anticipating symptoms.
You may even prepare for the worst-case scenario, which can put a tremendous amount of strain on your mind and body. Seeking out comfort, whether it be through symptom research or doctor visits, can provide temporary relief, but it doesn't address the anxiety itself. Instead, you need to come to terms with the amount of time and worry you've already put into your symptoms and understand that changing and worsening symptoms are normal with anxiety.
Once you've been checked out by a doctor, you have to be willing to accept that you may go through the cycle of anxiety and symptoms again and again, without immediately seeking external relief.
Over time, with self-trust and acceptance, you can overcome anxiety and its symptoms.
