Stolen catalytic converters are super common currently (early 2021) and we were hit in broad daylight in a school parking lot. After some research we found a 'universal' fit replacement. When we looked for an install video we saw a few, none of which were bright enough or thorough enough for our liking.. so we decided to make one of our own.

here is all the tools we needed:
1. 7/8 inch open ended wrench (for tightening the oxygen sensor only)
2. 8mm allen head (to remove the oxygen sensor plug from the catalytic converter before install)
3. 14mm socket with 10" extension (for removing/installing bolts at front of new converter assembly)
4. A file or sandpaper for cleaning the rear pipe (near muffler) to make sure it slides into the new converter assembly.
5. 1/2 " deep socket or open ended wrench (for tightening the bolts on the pipe clamp that seals the rear of the converter assembly to the muffler pipe)
6. Floor jack (or bottle jack) w/ jack stands
7. (instead of floor jack) you could use ramps, though this may be a tight fit to get under the car.

Parts needed:
1. new converter assembly
2. new gasket from headers to converter assembly (we refer to this as a 'doughnut')
3. new oxygen sensor (or o2 sensor for short)
