Last year I went to Tanzania to help make a video for an amazing orphanage. I was asked to go with no pay and even pay my own way. I said no.. But as time passed I felt like I should go last minute. It was one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had. Serving others without expecting anything in return brought me incredible joy. Here is a short video of some footage I captured while I was there. I fell in love with the Children of the Orphanage and it was so hard to leave. Tammy Jerry Backus started the orphanage when they saw the incredible need to help out the kids in Tanzania. They built a self sustaining village with solar, water, gardens, livestock. A safe haven for those kids who are tortured, abused and left to die. I went with UVU students and they edited together a longer documentary about the incredible orphanage.
