I've just finished this lovely adaptation of Little women and absolutely loved it even if Jo and Laurie didn't ended up together in this version neither...  Little women is incredibly realistic, it has a bittersweet ending and the final phrase said by Meg and Jo ("Nothing is ever pefect... but things can be just right") captured perfectly this feeling.

Jo and Laurie don't love each other, but they always will. (Damn you, Alcott!)
