In this video, M15 pushes a rogue eagle intruder out of the nest. This female intruder has been spending the last few nights on the outer branch of the nest. On Valentine night she arrived to the nest at around 6:45 pm and stayed overnight. This female rogue eagle intruder was later ID'ed as R23-3 by the administrators of the Southwest Florida Eagle Cam. On the day this video was recorded, she decided to go inside the nest and eat a fish that M15 had delivered for his offsprings. M15 landed on the attic and warned the intruder but she did not leave the nest. M15 came down from the attic and confronted the intruder. Dad pushed the intruder out of the nest. During the altercation you can see feathers, nesting materials, and a fish flying out of the nest. This scene was terrifying for me since I knew our two precious eaglets were inside the nest. Miraculously, the eaglets were not injured. Dad left the area and returned a few minutes later. Eventually this female rogue eagle known as R23-3, formed a bond with the eaglets to the point that she fed them on one occasion. She left the nest tree on Sunday, March 7 of 2023 and never returned. The findings in this video are my personal opinions based on my observations. Please take my findings with a grain of salt! This video was recorded on Wednesday, February 15 of 2023. At the time this footage was recorded, E21 was 42 days old and E22 was 39 days old
