Despite not sharing scenes with several of the actors in her latest film The Last Letter From Your Lover, Felicity Jones has proven that, regardless, she knows a lot about her famous co-stars.

The Oscar nominated actor's latest film sees Jones portray Ellie, a thirty-something journalist at a crossroads in her personal and professional life when she comes across long-lost love letters with a tragic, secret backstory.

The movie - based on the novel by Jojo Moyes - alternates between the present day, with Jones accompanied by actor Nabhaan Rizwan playing archivist Rory as they become captivated by the letters, contrasting with the colour-filled 1960s, which documents the subjects from the letters: Jennifer (Shailene Woodley), Anthony (Callum Turner) and Lawrence (Joe Alwyn).

During a game of Knowing Me, Knowing You with ELLE, Jones recalled how she (like Woodley) started her career as a child actress, playing Ethel in ITV's The Worst Witch, based on the books by Jill Murphy.

'I look back on that period really fondly. I made some incredibly close friends, it was great fun. We were all living together in a hotel, so it was, it was really quite magical,' Jones smiles. 'I was doing a chat show in the States, and they used a clip of it and it reminded me of how funny it was. And also the cats, they were these sort of quite mangy cats who would attack us with their claws and nails.'
