This episode is inspired by the new Wim Wenders film; Perfect Days. It is a celebration of the joys of music and the minutiae of Japanese culture. The protagonist Hirayama (played by Koji Yakusho, winner of the Best Actor award at Cannes 2023) is a contemplative middle-aged man who lives a life of modesty and serenity, spending his days balancing his job as a caretaker of Tokyo’s public toilets with his passion for music, literature and photography.

In collaboration with Zag's favourite streaming service, MUBI, he picked some Japanese acid folk, blues, rock, and jazz records and created his imaginary version of the soundtrack!
