This presentation will provide an overview of key scientists who played a major role in the initiation of surfactant discovery. In addition, this video will demonstrate how the discovery has led to an increased understanding of lung-pressure regulation. This video was created by a group of McMaster University students in a knowledge translation course for the Demystifying Medicine series: Elizabeth Chan, Hannah Cho, Zainab Naimpoor, Rubaid Dhillion and Pavan Matharu.
