King Armah was the Negus who ruled the empire of Abyssinia during the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad and is reported to have welcomed the early Muslim migrants fleeing Makkah towards Aksum.

Negus Armah, better known as al-Najashi in Islamic historiography - lived an eventful and fascinating life, details of which are not widely known in the Muslim world. This film recounts the lifestory and history of Negus Armah as well as his contribution towards the early development of Islam and his support for the Muslim migrants coming out of Makkah.

This short film is an extract from a feature length documentary on the Kebra Nagast, Abyssinia's ancient and epic document detailing the events and milestones that have contributed to the magnificent history and heritage of the people of Ethiopia.
