It’s no secret that Loki is one of the most popular characters in the Marvel comic book library and the Marvel Cinematic Universe version of Loki might have even more fans, but it’s more than just Tom Hiddleston’s amazing portrayal of the character that has captured our imaginations. We’ll talk about some times when Loki was by far cooler than his brother, Thor.

For one, Loki actually has experience ruling Asgard and has proved he’s willing and able to take the throne. Thor may be Odin’s favorite son, but Loki is the one who’s able to outsmart him and, if you think about it, in many ways, Loki’s the real hero of the movie Thor: Ragnarok.
