One of the most famous moments in Avengers: Age of Ultron sees Thor daring the other Avengers to try and pick up his hammer, Mjolnir. Predictably, no one is able to, until they get to Captain America. Cap seems to get the thing to budge, but he doesn’t actually lift it, to the relief of Thor. However, Avengers: Endgame sees him wielding the hammer at a heroic moment, which led many fans to believe that he was actually able to lift it the first time. The Endgame directors have settled the debate, so let’s take a look at why Cap didn’t lift Mjolnir in Age of Ultron.
