Columbus, Ohio's Trey Osborne is clearly turning heads in the racing industry. Just 20 years young, the 6-ft., 8-in. red-haired racer has captured the attention and hearts of open-wheel fans and industry leaders alike. Working off an open-trailer with a band of volunteers, Osborne is, in many ways, a one-man machine. He sets up his sprint cars entirely, builds the motors and drives the wheels off them. When he's not in the car, he's working on the car non-stop...whatever it takes to get the job done. In his most recent demonstration of skill, he was offered a one-off ride in a USAC Silver Crown car for the recent Ted Horn 100 at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds. Arriving with just his sprint car seat -- he only has one -- he climbed in the car and was fifth quick on the practice board among 35 participants. Keep in mind, he had never sat in a Silver Crown Champ Car, much less compete on a mile dirt track. Then the engine blew up, cutting his day short. The car owner, so impressed as he was, offered Osborne a full-time ride in the same Crown car next year. The sky is the limit for Osborne, and we're all looking forward to what's next. The video you're about to see is the day after DuQuoin at Kokomo Speedway in the Vince Osman Memorial Championship where "Too Tall Trey" continued to impress...enjoy! #KokomoSpeedway #USACRacing #TreyOsborne #SprintCars #DirtTrackRacing #HistoryMysteryMan
