Perhaps the biggest casting update yet we've gotten for Marvel Phase 4 -- Doctor Strange is joining Peter Parker in the upcoming Spider-Man 3 (2021), a film that will also feature Jamie Foxx returning as Electro from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014). To many, this is further proof of a brewing "live-action Spider-verse," that could bring back past Spider-Man film characters like Tobey Maguire Peter Parker, Andrew Garfield Peter Parker, and Willem DaFoe Norman Osborn Green Goblin. But bringing in Stephen Strange still brings up more questions than answers, so Erik Voss explains HOW EXACTLY the MCU will set up this epic crossover next year, from WandaVision (2020) to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022).
