What’s happening in this Almost Christmas movie clip?
Lonnie's (J.B. Smoove, who also played in Spider-Man: Far From Home and The Sitter) at the supermarket when Jasmine (Keri Hilson, who also played in Riddick and Think Like a Man) takes a chance on him. He joins her in the store stock area to spend some time with her. His sister’s wife Rachel (Gabrielle Union who also played in Bring It On and L.A.’s Finest) is outside in her car and sees him getting out. She goes shopping and ends up at Jasmine's checkout, who is receiving a bunch of notifications on her phone. Jasmine recognizes her because Rachel was friends with her older sister. Jasmine's phone keeps beeping, and the conversation quickly drifts towards that. She ends up showing a picture of her "boyfriend" and that's when Rachel realizes it's her sister’s husband. Jasmine explains that she would have loved spending Christmas with him, but he has to spend it with his grandmother Cheryl, who is really old. Rachel jumps on the opportunity to get her revenge, and invites Jasmine to the Christmas Dinner...

What’s the Almost Christmas movie about?
Walter Meyer (Danny Glover who also played in Lethal Weapon and The Color Purple) invites his four children and the rest of their family for the first time after their mother's death for the Christmas holidays. He knows that getting them to spend five days together without them killing each other would be a miracle. Cheryl (Kimberly Elise, who also played in Diary of a Mad Black Woman and The Price We Pay) comes with her husband who falls for a young supermarket saleswoman, Christian (Romany Malco, who also played in The 40 Year-Old Virgin and Think Like a Man) struggles to find the balance between his campaign to become a Congressman and his family life, Rachel (Gabrielle Union who also played in Bring It On and L.A.’s Finest) is recently divorced and has to take care of her daughter while studying to become a lawyer, and finally, Evan (Jessie Usher who also played in Shaft and Independence Day 2) is a talented football player, but he injured his shoulder and has trouble stopping taking painkillers once his injury has recovered...
