In-game version of The End Begins, which is Kratos' theme in God of War 2. It plays in the main menu, when escaping from the underworld after Kratos' death, and during the final fight against Lahkesis and Atropos.

This in-game version is almost identical to the OST version (it's not extended, has no different instruments, etc), and plays the song twice with no difference. The point at 1:39 sounds like a loop, but the actual audio file in the game's files is 3:20 long and only after that does the song technically loop.

As the main theme of the game, The End Begins also plays in many other tracks, cutscenes, and stingers throughout the game. These include: The Way of the Gods, Colossus Combat, First Zeus Fight, Kraken grabs Kratos cutscene, Kratos returns in time cutscene, Death of Athena cutscene, The Battle for Olympus, Call to Arms (from GoW3).
