A Ukrainian MiG-29 jet took down a Russian spy UAV somewhere over the southern front. Video taken from the ground shows the jet unleashing a R-27 air-to-air missile at the target. The missile breaks right and heads for the drone, before scoring a direct hit. Meanwhile the pilot pulls away to avoid being targeted by Russian SAM system. More video shows similar missions from inside the cockpit. Ukraine’s air force uploaded video of three pilots inside their MiG-29 jets in Ukrainian skies. The trio give each-other cover as they carry out their missions to destroy Russian equipment. Yet more video captures an Su-27 flanker pilot taking out Russian radar systems. The ‘Wild Weasel’ missions involve American-made HARM anti-radiation missiles. These weapons home in on signals emitted by radar systems and take them out. Most experts believed Russia would quickly gain air superiority over Ukraine early in the war. But more than two years later, the Ukrainian air force is still in the fight. #russia #ukraine #war
