You've likely laughed at her jokes on Brooklyn Nine-Nine or Superstore, but Sierra Teller Ornelas is the showrunner of the new Peacock comedy, Rutherford Falls (starring Ed Helms). Her origins are not what you might expect from a sitcom writer. But it's been a journey of passion and clear focus from the start. She took some time to chat with David Poland.
