It is a traditional Arabian food and it was very famous among Arab tribs of Makkah.. At the time of our Holy prophet Salla Allahu Alaihi Wasallam Arab used to cook this dish. Accrding to Ahadeeth. Our beloved Holy Prophet Sallah Allahu Alaihi Wasallam liked this dish very much. It was called at that time as THAREED.
Nowadays it is called Margog or Marqoq .. In Egypt it is called Fatta.
