"Tijuana Taxi" was release as a single and from the album "Going Places" -- released by Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass in 1965. In Feb. 1966, "Tijuana Taxi" peaked at #38 on the Billboard Hot 100, while the other side, "Zorba The Greek" rose all the way to #2. In the Pacific Northwest, where I live, Tijuana Taxi received considerable radio airplay and is at least as well-known as "Zorba The Greek."
