In this video I show you how to turn a waterfall into a simple yet efficient filtration system for your pond. I purchased two different filter mediums from a local pet store and created a layered filtration in my waterfall feature that originally had nothing. I also had an algae problem that I solved by changing half the water and pouring in 5ml of a fish friendly algaefix. This is a simple DIY project you can accomplish in 20 minutes. A clean well filtered pond is essential for healthy fish and aquatic plants. After a thorough cleaning of all filters and a quick dose of algaecide i was able to have crystal clear water in less then 24 hours. The fish were happy, I was happy.
