The Island Boys are probably the most controversial figures to emerge from TikTok.
With countless tattoos, unique hairstyles, diamond studded teeth, and songs about being an "island boy," 20-year-olds Franky and Alex Venegas, quickly went viral as "Kodiyakredd" and "Flyysoulja," on the social media platform.
They now have a total combined fanbase of over 6.5 million followers on TikTok and have butted heads with the internet's original controversial brothers, Jake and Logan Paul, TikTok celebrity Bryce Hall, and even Kevin Hart and Snoop Dogg, who made fun of them on their comedy special "2021 and Done."
In February, the bros made news when a childhood friend was arrested in connection with a murder after a police search on their home. But it was soon discovered that they weren't linked to the case. Most recently, the brothers have been under fire by their former rep, who claimed on a podcast episode in June that the sibling duo was struggling financially and owed him $150,000 dollars!
But who really are they? Growing up with a single mother after their father passed away, the brothers had run-ins with the law, including burglaries, robberies, and stolen cars. The twins claimed they were in jail as young teens, which is when they considered a career in rap.
